Amy was born in 1984 in the town of Wollongong, Australia, which is still the place she calls home.
Like many artists, she started drawing as soon as she was able to pick up a pencil (her first exhibition was in 1996 at age 11), but it wasn't until she left highschool in 2002 that she seriously considered becoming an artist professionally.
After doing well in highschool art and as a result having her artwork displayed in the Wollongong City Gallery, she decided to make a small website as an online gallery for her artwork. It wasn't too long before she started getting emails from people wishing to buy her artwork, and thus her retail site "The Ugly Goat" was born.
Despite having over 11 years experience with Adobe Photoshop, it was only in 2003 that Amy completed her first digital painting. It was her digital art that became enormously popular, and saw her earn recognition and opportunities as an artist.
In 2004, Amy started working on commissions for various individuals and companies, and before long her artwork started appearing in various places worldwide.
Her artwork has appeared on book covers, in numerous CCGs (collectable card games) and in magazines in several countries, causing her to work with companies such as Tenacious Games, Silver Lake Publishing, and Lucid Raven.
In 2005, several of Amy's artworks were selected for inclusion in The New Masters of Fantasy III.
Currently, Amy accepts very few commissions, preferring to be free to paint whatever strikes her at the time. She sells these artworks and other products bearing her art through her website, and through the websites of companies to which her artwork is licensed.
